Hey all! I’m so excited that Spring is right around the corner! It’s my favorite time of year when the weather warms up, the plants are starting to bloom again and of course, senior pictures are ready to be taken. There are many reasons to have your senior pictures taken in May or June but I’m here to tell you the top three reasons. You’ll never be upset that you took your senior pictures early in the summer season and if anything, it’s a great kick off to your summer and your senior year. For all you seniors out there ready to take your senior pictures, get ready to be convinced to get your senior pictures scheduled for the spring time! Picture perfect weatherI don’t know about you but when it comes to weather extremes, I have a really hard time. If it’s too hot, I’m miserable. If it’s freezing out, well, I’m miserable. I can’t be the only person out there who feels this way which is why I’m a forever fan of the May/June months here in Colorado. The weather this time of year is AMAZING. it’s not too hot and the breeze at the end of the day is just enough to cool you down but not make you shiver. The beautiful makeup our glam team does for your senior pictures will stay right where it should during these months. In Colorado, we all hold our breath when summer approaches because the summer months usually means wildfire months. Nobody wants wildfires for a host of reasons but in this case, in May or June, fires haven’t started up yet which not only means clean air to breathe but it also means, clear blue skies for your timeless senior pictures. This time of year also has mild rain showers but nothing big enough to cancel and reschedule your photoshoot. Honestly, the weather aspect alone is a big enough reason to get your senior pictures scheduled during May/June especially if you are wanting some outside pictures during the day. Be sure you take the weather into consideration when you are scheduling your senior pictures, trust me, you will be happy you did! Flower PowerLet me tell you the one thing most girls want for their senior pictures. Flowers. Almost all the girls I work with will tell me they want to be outside surrounded by nature- mainly flowers. I mean, who doesn’t? I don’t blame anyone for that and to be honest, I agree. Having your senior pictures taken outside laying in a field of flowers is the dream. The thing is, Colorado has a short time frame where the flowers and greenery look amazing. That time frame happens to be in May/June. If you’re wanting lush greenery and colorful flowers this is the time to take pictures. Wild flowers are in full bloom this time of year and at this point, the heat isn’t too intense so nothing has turned brown. Once July and August come around, the heat is so intense the plants just don’t look as healthy as they did in May/June. To some girls, having the background picture perfect is really important to them. If that is you, be sure you plan ahead and get on the calendar early. You’ll have these pictures forever, so be sure you plan well! Early bird gets the wormHave you ever heard the saying, “the early bird gets the worm?” I’m sure you have and I’m here to say it doesn’t just pertain to food. When it comes to scheduling your senior pictures, the earlier you can get them scheduled the better for everyone. May/June is the perfect time to have your pictures taken for a few reasons. First, I like to tell girls to get their pictures done early because then you can have the pictures done before sports, school and other activities start up again. There is nothing like scheduling sports try outs, go on vacation and have the summer of your life while also trying to schedule your senior pictures. Schedule them early and save yourself the headache! Another reason to schedule early is wouldn’t it be nice to show off your senior pictures before anyone else? When summer starts and your senior year is near, it’s fun to post those pictures and show off your beautiful photos. If you’re the first one, that makes it even better don’t you think? All around, the best reason to get those pictures done in May/June is mainly to save yourself the stress. Save yourself the tears and heart ache of trying to get your senior pictures taken and back to you in time to get your photo in the year book. Give yourself the summer to relax, have fun and make memories you’ll always remember. Let your self enjoy your senior picture day then leave the rest to me! I’ll be sure your photos are exactly what you want and you’ll treasure them forever. Are you convinced on scheduling your senior pictures early? May and June are the perfect times to get your photos taken and honestly, it’s my favorite time to take pictures! Let’s chat about the schedule and let’s figure out the perfect location for your perfect senior picture photo shoot!
