I got my start in macro photography, photographing things like flowers and water droplets up close. Then, for some crazy reason, I decided to apply for a wedding photography internship (with absolutely NO experience whatsoever!) in Estes Park. To my great surprise, they took a chance on me and hired me as their intern wedding photographer! I gotta be honest, I was so scared my first day - I had no clue how to work my camera. The company told me they would teach me how to be a photographer, but when I asked what settings they used on their camera, they told me they shoot in (dun, dun, dun...) AUTO MODE! I was flabbergasted! So I made it my mission to teach myself how to use my camera to it's fullest potential. After about a month, I was using full manual mode, had multiple lenses, flashes, etc. And from there, photographing people grew into a passion and I started Sarah Lindsay Photography! Now I photograph Denver Seniors and Denver Families!

I was born in Kansas and moved to Colorado when I was 2 months old (so I consider myself a native!). I married a handsome, loving man and we have a white German Shepherd/lab mix who is the very sweet with people and a cat who is definitely bossy.
I consider myself to be an old lady at heart because I love antiques, cats, and gardening. Growing up I was a tomboy, always playing with the boys, making bows and arrows out of sticks and string. I remember playing hide and seek well into the night until our feet got so cold we couldn't feel them anymore. Then we would go inside to play Super Smash Bros or watch the original Star Wars until we were forced to go to bed. These days if find myself a little more "girly". But I haven't completely lost my tomboy-ness, as can be seen by my love of leather jackets and poor posture. Talk soon! |
