I am thankful for…
Thanksgiving will be here next week… can you even believe it?? All of the turkey, potatoes and pie will be the center piece on the table and hopefully you will be surrounded with family and friends for the day. I thought it would be fitting to writing a post about some of the things I am most thankful for and hope this blog helps you think about some things you are most thankful for as well.
I’m thankful for the ability to take senior pictures. I know that sounds a little cheesy but I am so grateful that I can connect with people, learn their stories and give them something they’ll always treasure, just simply by taking a picture. I’m amazed at the people I have met throughout my time as a photographer and I know I will continue to be blown away by their amazing stories. I’m thankful for the places I’ve been to as my time as a photographer. I have gotten to see beautiful locations and also new locations I might not have seen if I wasn’t a photographer. To all my seniors past and now, thank you for letting me into your world and allowing me to be a part of it.
I am thankful for family. My family, my extended family and of course my Sarah Lindsay Photography family. I am thankful for all of my employees who help keep this machine running. I couldn’t do any of this without you and I am so happy to have you all on my team. All your hard work is appreciated and doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for doing all you do! For my families that have asked me to be their child’s senior picture photographer, I owe you so much. Without your trust in me to take your child’s senior pictures, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. You are all so generous, loving and amazing people. You have raised wonderful kids and should be proud of the people they are and will continue to grow to be. Finding a senior picture photographer is a huge deal and a big undertaking. The fact that you chose me makes my heart so happy. Thank you and thank you again!
The experiences I’ve had being a photographer have been experiences I’ll cherish forever. All the laughs, tears and smiles I’ve had and witnessed are uncountable and truly irreplaceable. Every opportunity I’ve had to listen to other people and help them feel confident and beautiful is an opportunity I’m so thankful for and will always remember. Being able to be a part of each person’s senior picture day and share the experience with them is such an honor. I am so lucky to be able to do what I do have the experiences I’ve had. I love when seniors take me to new locations or ask to try new poses. I am blown away at their creativity and it gives me new experiences to treasure forever.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to ever single person I’ve been able to work with and who has trusted me to take their pictures. Going into this holiday season my cup feels so full and my heart is so happy. I love what I do and I love the people I get to be with. I’m thankful and grateful this Thanksgiving and my hope is that you also know what you are thankful for. Remember all the big and little things in your life that you are lucky to have. Enjoy Thanksgiving day with your closest people and with your favorite food. Lots of love to you and Happy Thanksgiving!!
