When you think about what outfits to wear for your senior photo session, do you find yourself searching Instagram, getting distracted, and then not remembering why you were on Instagram in the first place? If you're like me, this happens all the time! Except, I'm not a senior,... although sometimes I wish I could go back because adulting is hard. I mean, really hard!
Sometimes it takes me forever just to pick the right shoes, not to mention find an entire outfit that makes me look like I have my s#!% together.  So I've put together a list of fashion hacks and outfit inspiration to help you put together an outfit that will make your friends jealous.
1. Structure
Wearing shirts, jackets, or dresses that have structure create really awesome lines on your body. The eye's will follow the lines of structure on your jacket and immediately fill in the blanks telling your brain that this person has a really nice body.

2. Layers

Layers show that you put more time and effort into your outfit than you actually did. It also adds depth to your outfit and shows your friends you're a deep and interesting person. I suggest layering a flowy shirt, with a structured jacket, and a necklace or two. You could also layer a dress with a structured jacket. You'll want to avoid layering two or more flowy things. This will make you look like a deflated balloon and that is NEVER a good look.

3. Mix Colors and Neutrals
Wearing all neon colors will make you look like your inspiration was a clown's wig. Don't do that. Also avoid all black. It may look good in person but it doesn't not look great in photos, trust me.
Mix colors and neutrals to show your friends you are sofisticated. Pick one main color, maybe a secondary color, and then add neutrals on top of that. My go to outfit is a solid colored t-shirt, a complimentary colored scarf or necklace, a neutral leather jacket, and blue or black jeans.

4. Simplify
There's a saying that's something like this: "Before you walk out the door, look in the mirror and take one thing off." This just means that simple is best! After all, your photos are highlighting your beautiful face, your outfit just helps. Dresses are great simple outfits that make your look fun and flirty!

5. Put a Cute Hat On
Even if you don't wear hats on a regular basis, hats make everyone cuter (especially if you're having a bad hair day). Wearing a cute hat shows your friends that you are adorable, fun, and carefree!
