Obviously, taking pictures is what I love to do. But even more importantly taking senior pictures is my life’s passion. I love taking pictures of seniors and watching them shine. The excitement in their eyes is contagious and you can see all of the hopes and dreams they have for their life. I take senior pictures because I love to encourage and support seniors in their next steps in life. I love to empower seniors to love themselves and feel confident in their own skin. I love that I get to capture all of that emotion through the lens of a camera. But why is it important that you get your senior pictures taken? And more importantly, why is it important that you have the senior picture experience? I have three big reasons why you need these pictures not only for the yearbook but for the rest of your life. #1: CelebrationSenior pictures are a celebration of you. You have worked so hard from the age of 5 until now to get through school, form relationships, triumph, fail and figure out who you are going to be as a person. These pictures are a culmination of all your hard work and the time you should take to celebrate yourself. Having a day to be pampered and have fun is the best way to not only start your senior year but to also be sure you are celebrated for all you’ve accomplished. Be sure to go out and treat yourself to a cute new dress and get that manicure you’ve been wanting to get. Your senior pictures is the perfect excuse to take the time to be proud of yourself. #2: ExperienceGetting your senior pictures done is a right of passage. When you first start high school, it’s such an exciting time of life. When you get to the end there is such a mix of emotions but getting your senior pictures done is the first thing that has to happen before you embark on your last year. Having that experience is such an exciting way to start your last year of high school. So take the experience head on! Enjoying in your senior picture photo shoot and really soaking in each moment is what makes the day memorable and exciting. But remember to make the day your own. Bring props and or items that are important to you. Show off all the medals you’ve earned. Bring your pets and have a day snuggling with your furry friend. My favorite part of the experience is when seniors end up bringing their friends or siblings to their photo shoot. Having people and items that are important you makes the day more memorable. #3: MemoriesWhen you look back on your senior year, you’ll remember a lot. All the friends you had, all the new skills you learned, all the teachers you had. But over time, memories fade and time continues to march on. As you continue to learn and grown you’ll create new memories with new people and learn new things. Your priorities will change and you will become a new person. Having these beautiful pictures really captures who you are at this exact moment in time. These pictures will bring back floods of memories that you may forget about in 10 years. Having these pictures will forever be something you cherish and enjoy remembering. There are many other reasons to get senior pictures done but in my opinion these are the top three. I’ve done so many senior picture sessions over the years and I always have people come back and tell me how much their senior pictures mean to them. I’m ready to book your session. Let’s get in touch and get your senior picture experience started!
