Happy Thanksgiving week everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and you get to have lots of time with your family and friends. For Thanksgiving week, I thought we had to do a senior blog and I’m so excited to share Lydia’s senior photo day with you. Lydia is a senior at Green Mountain High School and our day together was a blast. She is someone who truly loves life and I’m so excited for you to see her beautiful pictures. Thank you for spending the day with me Lydia! We started the session at the studio and Lydia brought a couple beautiful outfits. The first was a long flowing grey dress with a beautiful reflectiveness that showed off hues of green, pink and blue. Of course, this dress had pockets which made the dress even better. Lydia was absolutely stunning in this dress and you could see a little twinkle in her eye when she did a twirl! Lydia told me her favorite part of the day was spending time at the studio with the team, chatting and laughing. She also said getting pictures in this dress was another part of the day she loved. She said it is her prom dress and getting pictures in it was a very special moment that she’ll never forget. Hearing that made me so happy and I’m so glad you loved getting pictures in your prom dress- you looked stunning! Lydia also brought a casual outfit and I loved it! She had a brightly colored pair of patterned capris, a black ruffle sleeved tank top; and black sandals. Talk about unique, beautiful, fun and timeless all wrapped up in one outfit. I could see Lydia’s personality shine through when she wore this outfit which is when you know that is the perfect outfit to wear to your senior pictures! For our location shoot, Lydia chose South Valley Park. She chose well and she mentioned she wanted to be near the beautiful surroundings, red rocks and the mountains. She said where she is from there are no mountains so she wanted to incorporate those elements of Colorado in her pictures. I thought that was a perfect idea and the red rocks are so beautiful- pictures there always turn out perfectly! Lydia brought along a vibrant salmon pink top with jeans to her location shoot and I absolutely loved the contrast between her shirt and the surrounds. Contrasting colors like that really pop in pictures and Lydia was glowing the entire time. She also brought an adorable blue jumpsuit with red heals. I thought this outfit was definitely one of a kind! Lydia rocked a white lace dress and even brought her cowgirl boots and hat! The coolest thing I learned about Lydia is that she is an avid golfer. She told me she has been golfing with her dad since she was eight years old. She mentioned back in Ohio she was a part of a huge golf community and there she met Mr. Thomas Drake. She said he gifted her the bracelet she wore to her senior pictures. He would always tell her “it’s not how you play, it’s how you look.” She said this piece of advice stuck with her and she wears the bracelet daily as a reminder. Lydia says she has big plans to play on a club team in college to continue her passion while also progressing and focusing on her future career. I love when my seniors have a passion for something and Lydia definitely has passion for the game of golf. I’m so proud of you Lydia! Lydia was a dream to work with and her passion for life was contagious. She has big plans after high school to attend college to study mass communications and media along with music. She is such a go getter and an all around beautiful person and I feel so lucky to have been able to work with her. Lydia, everyone here at Sarah Lindsay Photography wish you all the best in the future and can’t wait to see all you accomplish. Thank you for choosing me to be your senior picture photographer!
