It seems like everywhere you go there are new rules, regulations, precautions that are happening. You might be noticing some trends occurring within different establishments. Things such as virtual appointments, mandatory masks, remaining six feet apart. Well, photography is a little different due to its nature. But don't worry, Sarah Lindsay Photography is taking precautions to keep everyone safe and healthy during these times. After all, we want to keep photographing you beautiful, strong girls so we have to stay healthy!
Masks Will Be Worn At All Times and We Have Hand Sanitizer!
Instead of rushing out the door with just your keys, wallet, sunglasses, and water (you know, the necessities), you now have to add the mask in there. I know I sometimes forget to grab a mask… good thing I have them stashed everywhere! My car, purse, jacket pockets, all the places!
While we know masks have to be worn in shopping centers, at the gym, anywhere you can’t maintain six feet distance, it's important you know that is the same for photographers. Masks have become our norm. During your session you will find all team members in a mask. We also ask that anyone you bring with you to your session also wears a mask. We want to keep everyone healthy and happy! There is one exception to this rule… you! When you are in front of the camera, obviously you won't be wearing a mask! I mean duh, right? We have to be able to capture your full beauty! Not only will we be wearing masks for the entirety of your session, we also bring lots of hand sanitizer. When the whole team arrives at your location, we use hand sanitizer! We will also have you use some too so that if we touch the same things, the bad germs are hopefully gone and not passed around. During the session, you will also find us reapplying the hand sanitizer just as a precaution. We are usually passing around camera lenses, reflectors, holding the changing tent, handing props to and from and we want to be sure all those germs aren’t holding their ground on the things multiple people touch. Masks and clean hands are important to us! We use them to keep you safe, ourselves safe, and to be able to photograph you senior girls this year. We are Social Distancing The Best We Can.
As a photographer, naturally we stand six or more feet away from you. The lenses that Sarah Lindsay Photography uses allows for us to stand as a safe distance away from you. We won’t be up close in your business I promise. There might be a few exceptions to being a little closer than six feet. If we want to capture some movement in your dress, a team member might hold your dress off to the side. In this case, she might be a tad closer than six feet from you but only for a second! Another exception might be just adjusting your hair for a second to make sure we have the most beautiful shot. We ask that you, and the hype team you bring, maintain a six feet distance from our team as well. This makes us a little more safe.
Options to Move Some Appointments to Virtual If Necessary
Photography makes virtual and remote options a little more difficult. For one, we can only photograph you while standing in front of you. So, this appointment can’t be moved online at all! (I mean we could try to take pictures through zoom, but you probably wont like how they turn out)
Another reason it makes it more difficult is that seeing the artwork options that we offer in person can really add to the experience. You might like the way the canvas option looks over the phone, but maybe the framed option fits your house better. The only way you can know that is through seeing the options in your home. When Sarah Lindsay comes to your home she brings all artwork options for you to see and compare right inside your home. We understand that you might not feel comfortable with us coming to your home. We respect that decision and can offer the “design and wardrobe consultation” and “viewing and ordering” appointments as virtual if that will make you feel more comfortable and safe. Just so you know, all the precautions we take during the session, we also take at each appointment. We wear masks the entire time we are in your home, the products are disinfected, and we use hand sanitizer multiple times during our stay.
