You've had professional photos taken for your Senior year or perhaps you're updating your family's photographs, but now the question is, "Do I choose an album or hang something on the wall?".
This decision isn't always an easy one, but don't worry, I'm here to help!  Continue reading for a quick list of when to print your photos in an album or when to hang them on your wall.
When should I hang my photographs on the wall?
When should I hang my photographs on the wall?

Wall art is the right choice when...

When you have an absolute favorite photograph or set of photographs
Do you have a favorite photograph that makes you feel filled with love and your senior feel like dynamite? Make a statement and hang that feeling on your wall. Walking by it daily will help instill that same feeling.
When you want to walk by your photograph every day
Wall art pieces are an incredible way to boost your child’s self-confidence every single day. Waking up next to or walking by any photograph where you know you are a beautiful, confident woman will help start each day with this mindset and boost your seniors’ self-confidence that much higher.
When you want to be reminded of the love you have for your family daily
Was your session a family session? A professionally designed wall gallery is the perfect way to tap into the incredible love you have for one another. On the great days, and the not so great days. A wall portrait of your family ingrains that love you share into your mind and more importantly into your children’s mind every day.
When you want to fill the walls of your home with beautiful artwork of your family
Naturally, there are many places you can find art that can be displayed in any room of your home. Making those photographs, works of art of your own family completes a room with love and confidence.

An album is the right choice when...

When you love all your photographs
Your child has been your everything since the day they were born, or maybe even before. Now looking at each of your photographs, you get a rush of all the memories you have shared as a family and see how much they have grown – seemingly overnight. You love each one for a different reason and want them all. An album will be perfect for you.
When you can’t decide on only one photograph
Any wall gallery, while incredibly stunning to look at every day, still only contains a handful of photographs at most. If you want to retain the full experience and have an heirloom product to leaf through and remind you of this incredible transition in your lives as a family and remind your child of how incredible they are just the way they are, an album is a great option.
When you want a conversation starter
A professionally designed album is a fine art piece you will want to pull out and show your friends, your family and someday, your children and grandchildren. Looking through the pages will remind you of this time in your life, as your baby enters senior year and they make plans to achieve their dreams.
When you want to display your artwork on a tabletop or coffee table
Your album will make a perfect statement piece on any table. It will be a subtle display in any room that when you open it will pop with all the energy you had when we left your session.
When you want artwork and memories you can pass down for generations
Of course, you can pass down any wall art photograph, but an album is a perfect heirloom gift for several generations down your family tree. Any family member viewing your session will see how confident and beautiful your senior was in these wonderful years of their life.

Both an album and wall art are the right choice when...

When you love all your photographs and also have a favorite or two
The best of both worlds; take your favorite photograph or handful of photographs and proudly display them on your walls to be reminded of the wonderful journey you have been on together as they leave the house and become make their own dreams come true. And have a gorgeous album for all the remaining photographs that still make you reminisce over all the memories you have shared and your senior feel like they are on top of the world, still the center of your world.
When you want to display your artwork on the coffee table and on the walls
A combination of a fine art album and wall art is a great choice when you want both. You love the idea of a beautifully crafted album on the table and want to feel your confidence every day as you walk by them hanging on the wall.
When you want to walk past your photos every day but also want to pass down to future generations
You have a favorite photograph or two that embrace you in the memories of your growing child, those are perfect additions to your wall. And you want the album that you can pass down to your children and grandchildren to show them how beautiful and empowered your child was!
When you want to hang photographs of your family in one room but want something on the coffee table in another room
Make an impression with your photographs hung in one room empowering your senior every time you walk past. And place an album on a table in another room to start a conversation.
When you want to share the love
When you love all your photographs and choose an heirloom album for yourself to preserve all your photographs. And you want to share your confidence with your child and other family members. Give them the gift of a wall art piece to treasure every day.
We will guide you through this step as well as you choose the best option for your family and professionally design your final keepsakes with you in mind.

Agreed! I love albums so much and it's so rewarding to see a client's eyes light up with they unwrap their heirloom album.

This is such a great reminder! I love having printed photos in our home of us :) I think too many people forget to print them once they see them online which is unfortunate!

I like what you said about getting wall art when you have one photograph that you particularly enjoy. My sister wants to make sure that her home feels inviting in the coming weeks. I'll share this information with her so that she can look into her options for professionals who can help her with this.

This blog really helps you know what's the best things to do with your art pieces! I really love that you were able to distinguish whether a person should make their art an album, a wall art, or even both in some circumstances. It really shows the meaning of having each type of artwork. Is there a price difference between making a gallery and making wall art? If so, what is the difference?

Thank you for such a thoughtful comment! A gallery wall is made up multiple pieces of wall art. There will be a difference in price between purchasing one piece of wall art and purchasing multiple pieces to create a gallery wall.
