I know what you are thinking... its April and I dont graduate until May NEXT year, its too early for my senior pictures. I understand where you are coming from, but there are reasons to get your pics done early. Hear me out...

Reason #1: April Showers Bring May Flowers

Cliche quote, I know. May brings a different look to senior pictures. The light is different, softer. Its more green and theres more blossoms on the trees, plants. Just trust me on this one, okay?! 

Throughout May we see those sprouts really start to grow. The flower buds on the trees are beautiful and the trees look so full of color. Then you've got the grass, its so green and creates a beautiful contrast to your outfits. The fullness of the trees, fields, flowers adds depth to your pictures- hence that different kind of look! When the trees are this full too, it creates a softer light as it adds more natural shadows. This is one of my favorite parts of early senior picture shoots!

Reason #2: More Time For The "Senior Things"

If you get your senior pictures done early, then you have all summer and the beginning of your senior year to enjoy those "senior things". I don't know about you, but I am a planner. When I was a senior I felt like I spent a month planning my senior pictures. Things like outfits, inspiration, and picking a location took me forever! If I didn't have that to worry about I could have been enjoying things like senior camps, senior sunrise, engaged more in homecoming week, and even just less stress would have been nice. I promise, if you get those pictures done early, you'll have more time in the long run! And you get to enjoy your final pictures even longer ;)

Reason #3: Kick Off to Senior Year

Senior year is special and deserves to be celebrated to its fullest. That includes the summer before your senior year. So, why not start off your senior year by getting those pictures done at the start? It can be a symbol of whats to come for the year ahead and it takes off some of the pressure of when, who, where are going to take them. We can capture that person who is free from the school stress, the life stress... who is genuinely happy to finally be a senior! May senior pictures can set the tone for whats to come for your senior year.
