I am so excited to show case this amazing senior for you today! Nyah is an amazing young lady and her photo shoot was one for the books! Nyah is a sweet person and so smart, talented and amazing overall. I am excited to showcase Nyah for you today and hope you love her pictures as much as I do. Do you have a favorite picture? Let me know in the comments below! Nyah is a senior at Ralston Valley High School. She is incredibly smart and also very talented. Nyah is part of the Pom team and also part of the varsity golf team. She told me that she loves high school, especially football games. I am excited she gets one more year of amazing times with her friends and I hope her senior year is full of moments that are memories she’ll be happy to look back on forever. She chose to go to Red Daisy Farm, which is a fan favorite here at Sarah Lindsay Photography. She said she wanted to take her pictures there because the location is so diverse and has the aesthetic she was going for. She wanted cowgirl and beautiful. That’s exactly what she got. I love that she knew what she wanted in her pictures and was able to figure out a location that would get her exactly what she wanted. The forward thought is what I love!! I also want to showcase her studio shoot… The gold parachute dress and the beautiful lighting just makes her pictures truly amazing! What do you think? I want to high light a couple outfits Nyah brought to her senior shoot. She had a huge variety of outfits and every single one was an amazing choice. She had the casual ripped jeans, tennis shoes and crop top. I loved that she chose something laid back because it shows off her fun side and it’s a timeless look. I love that Nyah wanted to bring her pom uniform! She brought the pom poms and everything. I am always excited when girls bring their uniforms. Whether it’s cheer, swim or running. No matter what you’re into, I think it’s important to highlight that in your senior pictures. To fit the cowgirl theme Nyah brought the perfect cowgirl outfit. A cute blue skirt and shirt combo with white boots. Of course she had a hat to go with it and it was definitely the outfit to go with the theme! By far, my favorite outfit she brought was a mint green tule dress. It was so unique and beautiful all at the same time. I loved this dress because it was something I have never seen before. It fit her personality so well and she looked stunning it in it! Nyah told me that after high school she plans to go to college out of state. She would like to go somewhere in the SEC and she looks forward to exploring what is outside of Colorado and learn the culture of college and different places. I’m so excited to see your adventure unfold, Nyah! You will do great things and the world is yours. Thank you for trusting me to take your senior pictures- it was an amazing day!!

Until then, let me tell you some more about her senior picture shoot and I want to show off her pictures!! Kathleen chose to have her Iconic senior session at the RiNo District. I love this location for so many reasons. It’s funky, artsy and really gorgeous. If you are looking for a city vibe to your senior pictures, this is the location I’d recommend. There are tons of colors and textures which makes any outfit you choose to wear pop. This location never disappoints! Kathleen said she chose this location mainly for the bright colors and the murals. She says she enjoys graffiti and the artwork in the area so it was an easy pick for her. Kathleen is one amazing girl and she had so much fun during her photo shoot. She had a gorgeous black fishnet sweater with jeans for one outfit and for her other outfit she had an amazing blue sweater shirt. I love the textures of both of these sweaters and it adds so much to her pictures. I love that Kathleen chose outfits that show off her personality. Kathleen has big ambitions to be a hair and makeup artist or a full cosmetologist and esthetician. after she graduates from high school. She plans to attend school in California to chase her dreams. She attends Columbine High School and has done amazing things while she was there but being a hair and makeup artist is her life’s dream. She is a talented dancer and has been dancing at Littleton Contemporary Dance Center. Amazingly, Kathleen has also been taking up skateboarding! You go girl. I am so excited when girls bring props to their senior shoots and I’m thrilled Kathleen brought her makeup brushes with her. What can I say about Bella? She’s beautiful, athletic, super smart and really one of the sweetest girls you could meet. Her senior session was one to remember and I’m so excited to be able to highlight the day for you now! Her pictures turned out absolutely stunning and let’s be honest… it’s hard to pick my favorite. So, Bella, this blog post is for you! Bella will be a senior this year at Eaton High School. She is very involved in her school and she plays volleyball for her school’s girls team. When she booked her VIP senior photo shoot I knew we were going to get along. She decided to have her shoot in two different locations. She opted to be at Moss Denver and Red Daisy Farm. Both of these locations I absolutely love and always have so much fun taking seniors there to have their pictures taken. I love that she wanted to incorporate both inside and outside locations to her senior pictures. Both brought elements of sophistication, beauty and and fun and relaxed vibe. I honestly can’t choose which location I like best… What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below! Let’s talk about Bella’s outfit choices. All the outfits she chose. She had multiple outfit changes during the day but every single outfit she pulled out was a home run. She had beige slack capris and a black crop top with it. Talk about sophisticated, timeless and chic all at the same time. She also took out a cute white sun dress with a beautiful white bow on the back. Talk about the detail!! Bella also had a more casual look. A cute grey t shirt dress with red tennis shoes. I love that she even paired this outfit with her letterman jacket. My favorite outfit of the day by far though was another white dress. You guys… this one was such an amazing dress. a short white dress with a sheer lace over the top. Detail, beauty and such personality. If you are looking for a “what do I wear to my senior picture” guide, then look no further than Bella’s pictures! Bella, thank you so much for trusting me to take your senior pictures! You were such a joy to work with and I know you will do great things in this lifetime. Thank you again Bella! You’re the best :)
Sometimes, the glamorous photos are amazing. Actually most of the time they are amazing. But let’s talk about the underrated pictures. The simple ones. The ones that show off your personality in just one shot. The photos that elicit so many emotions in just one picture. Those are the pictures that I absolutely love. They are my favorite and I thought they should be highlighted on this blog today!! 1. Close Ups: I love the close up picture. No special background, props or wind in the hair. The standard, close up of your beautiful face in the studio. I love these pictures for a few different reasons. One, it’s just you. Just you and your beautiful self. Nothing is better than highlighting your true beautiful self and in these pictures there is nothing to distract from you. Everyone wants the glimmer and glam for their senior pictures, but pictures like these are always underrated but honestly they’re my favorite! 2. Candid: I love pictures that are candid. You don’t know when the camera is going to snap a picture and let’s be honest, a lot of the time those pictures are the best. I love seeing true character in people shining through. I love to see true smiles and I love to see goofy faces. All of these things are the reason I think candid pictures are so underrated. I also love these pictures when they’re with a friend. You can capture your relationship and really remember the friendship you had at that time of your life. I think capturing candid pictures just makes that time of life feel more real. So lean into the candid pictures and be sure you fully embrace them- you won’t regret it. 3. Support your high school: I love love love senior pictures with their letterman jacket. It seems so old school and let’s face it, not many people think to take pictures with their jackets. But if you do choose to take these pictures, I think they’re definitely worth it. It’s important to remember all of your accomplishments in high school and it’s important to remember all the good times you had and maybe even the harder times. Having pictures in your letterman jacket just keeps those memories in your mind and it’s important to always have those memories. So many people tell me they’re upset they didn’t take those pictures. Don’t make that mistake! Bring your high school gear and let’s take those pictures!
