Vanessa and Drew's wedding day was a magical one, to say the least. They tied the knot at the beautiful Kiwanis Community House in Cheyenne, WY in front of family and friends. And although it rained (and hailed) for most of the day, the sun peeked out just in time for the newly married couple to take a walk through the gardens, sharing in their newfound lightness, happiness, and elation. The Kiwanis Community House in Cheyenne, WY made for a gorgeous backdrop for Vanessa and Drew's wedding. Vanessa got those adorable "Something Blue's" from Encore Bridal in Fort Collins, CO when she bought her dress. One of Vanessa's favorite things were the embroidered "No Ugly Crying" handkerchiefs. Before she knew it, it was time to get Vanessa into her dress and on her way to marry the man of her dreams. But first, we had to put her boots on... And, well, that was a little bit of a struggle. But with the help of Vanessa's sister, she got her Ariat boots on and was ready to go! Vanessa was probably one of the calmest bride's I've ever met. That calmness showed itself on her face as she waited to say "I Do" at the Kiwanis Community Center. Vanessa's dad roped his arm around hers as he walked her down the aisle towards her soon-to-be husband, Drew. Their ceremony was beautiful and was officiated flawlessly. After professing their commitment to one another, they shared a sweet first kiss as husband and wife. Vanessa and Drew walked back down the aisle with a new-found lightness of finally being husband and wife. After the ceremony, they got a chance to be alone and relish in their new love. We walked around the gorgeous grounds of the Kiwanis Community Center and just let them soak it all in. Soon it was time for Vanessa and Drew to return to their guests and start the festivities. They shared a beautiful first dance! And an equally beautiful Father-Daughter dance followed. Finally, it was Vanessa's favorite part... the cutting of the cake! I swear they must have practiced this, because they did it like pros! Finally, it was time for the bouquet toss to see who would be next to marry. Vanessa tossed the bouquet nice and high... Her sister caught it, and of course, did a victory lap. Congratulations Vanessa and Drew on your gorgeous wedding! Your love for each other is something from a fairytale and is one that many couples strive to have. I feel so honored to have photographed your wedding and I wish nothing but the best for you and Drew!
Love, Sarah
