5 Week Private Course or Single Lessons
Use your DSLR camera like a pro! Photography for the Non-PROtographer is a 5 week comprehensive photography course, 1 private lesson per week, (or choose single lessons) and will be taught by PROtographer, Sarah Lindsay. We will cover everything from the basics of your DSLR camera to lighting, posing, and"what the F&%^ does this button do". After this 5 week course, you will be able to confidently use your DSLR camera like a pro!

The 5 Week Comprehensive Course is $1,000, or $800 per person if you sign up with a buddy! Single Lessons are $250 each. Each class is 1-2 hours depending on the topic.

Week 1: Light, Shadows, and Framing
In this class you will learn where to place your subject in relation to the light source (i.e. the sun), how you can use shadows to your advantage, and where to place your subject in the frame so you can get a killer shot every time. This class will end in the field practicing what you've learned with a model! Week 2: How to Get Out of Auto-Mode
In this class you will learn how to shoot in full manual mode (scary, I know) and use your camera to it's fullest potential! You'll learn how to harness the power of shutter speed, aperture, and ISO so you can get the shot you want every time. This class will end in the field practicing what you've learned with a model! Week 3: Lenses
In this class you will learn what different lens types do and how they can deeply impact your photography. You'll learn about compression, lens distortion, and which lenses are best for your favorite type of photography! This class will end in the field practicing what you've learned with a model! Week 4: Posing and Interaction
Posing doesn't have to be hard and neither does interacting with your clients. In this class we will go over movement posing, how to make one pose into many, and how to successfully interact with your clients so you give them the best possible experience. This class will end in the field practicing what you've learned with a model! Week 5: Field Day
In this class you will use all the skills you learned to photograph real people all on your own without my help. Although, I will be there to supervise should you have any questions! The photos from this day will start your portfolio and will elevate it to pro-level. **This is only available if you take the 5 week course. |
