Your senior year is a time of drama and adventure! And your senior pictures should be a way for you to capture and celebrate this wild and fun time. Don't worry girl, we understand the importance of choosing the perfect time and location for your photoshoot to make sure you feel your very best!

Golden Hour Photoshoot

Time of Day

While the golden hour is what we use always while outside, other times of the day can also work for your photoshoot, depending on the lighting conditions and your preferences.

• Afternoon: Midday photoshoots can be challenging due to the harsh overhead sunlight. However, during this time we can utilize some cool indoor locations as an alternative, or as the main focus of your shoot! 
• Evening: Evening sessions offer a softer light similar to the morning (Golden Hour), with the added benefit of capturing the sunset. This time is perfect for creating lovely and dramatic images, which we use to capture your photos.
• Midnight: Ok, these are actually not too late in the evening, but it sure looks like it is Midnight! If you want that, "WOW" shot, this would definitely be something extra to try.

Scenic Spots

Nature is an effortless and stunning backdrop for any occasion, offering a variety of landscapes and textures, all of which you can choose for your shoot to make it YOU. We have a page of inspo spots of places we like to go to, but these are a good way get an idea!

• Parks and Gardens: Lush greenery, colorful flowers, and serene pathways create a picturesque setting, like the botanical gardens, either downtown or in Chatfield.
• Lakes: The water, sand, and sky offer a serene and timeless location, and it keeps you cool while the sun is shining!
• Forests and Trails: The beauty of trees, leaves, and trails can add depth and dimension to your photos, and offer some well needed shade if hot! Most locations are going to have a well wooded area, but there are of course other areas of the park we can walk to if that is not your fancy!
• Fields:  A simple Prairie or grassland is always a lovely scene to capture at sunset with the grass sparkling and you SHINING! 

Uptown Urban

​Urban settings offer a dynamic and modern backdrop for senior pictures. Some popular locations include:

• City Streets: Capture the energy and vibe of the city with street art, architecture, and bustling sidewalks, giving you an edgy or chic look.
• Industrial Areas: Factories, warehouses, and urban decay can provide a modern and artistic twist to your photos. 
• The Studio: We also offer a studio for you to take photos in if you would prefer a more model portfolio kind of look. This space is included in the VIP photoshoot as well as your choice in outdoor location. 

Personal Locations

​Your senior photos should reflect YOU and all your interests. Consider locations that hold personal significance or showcase your hobbies. If you have a particular spot in mind, be sure to let us know that when booking your shoot! After all we are here to commemorate YOU!
