Yay! My first post!
Now you are probably asking why I want to tell the stories of my couples? I get personal with my couples in order to intimately capture their big day. After all, what's worse than having a photographer who doesn't really understand you and your significant other?! I get to know the details of my couples and become close friends with them. I know how they met, their likes and dislikes, their quirks, and above all how they envision their wedding day. I become my couples' right hand woman on their wedding day. You may not know it, but part of my job description is ensuring that your wedding day goes smoothly and stays on schedule! Because I get so personal with my couples, I feel the need to tell their wonderful stories and expose the beautiful behind-the-scenes details that you just can't understand by looking at photographs... I recently shot Jodie and Paul's wedding in Estes park and you would have never known that they had flown all the way from Australia to be married in the Rocky Mountains just by looking at their photos. We were lucky enough to photograph near a large herd of elk, which Jodie and Paul had never seen before. Of course kangaroos are common Down Under, but elk were completely foreign to them! Jodie was adorable and wanted to try and pet one, which of course I wouldn't let happen for obvious reasons! I made sure to take extra photos of them posing in front of the elk herd so they could show all their friends when they got home.
